Sole Authority of Scripture

First and foremost, I’d like to say that I will take all that commenters say into consideration, but God’s Word is my final authority. So let’s please always keep our focus centered on the issues at hand. To any who may want to be a stumbling block to the goals of this site—I would ask– Do you believe Apostle Paul was a “witch hunter”, or “in bondage to fear” because he warned others day and night with tears(Acts 20:28-31) coming to them in “fear, weakness and trembling– not with excellence of speech” 1 Cor. 2:3-4, 2 Cor. 10:10?
True love, witnessing and “being Jesus to people” also includes warning them so they do not follow “another Jesus/another gospel” 2 Cor. 11:4 Anything less is apostasy and hate for God and all who would come to Him.
Some fence sitters would say “I’d rather just keep in the truth and not think of the “negative” because it leads to neglecting our witness of being Jesus to people.
Again, my response to that would be that to “keep in the Truth” would also require first being in the truth. Jesus warned to make sure the light in us is not really darkness (Luke 11:35).
I’m just doing what God has called me to do according to His word, not according to Joel Olsteen, Bill Johnson, Joyce Meyer, Oprah Winfrey, or Naomi Judd. In fact, had someone witnessed truth to Naomi when she was downtrodden instead of giving her an “all love” philosophy, perhaps she would not be New Age now.
I have “soul winning” to do and others spiritual welfare to consider, which means I must contend for the faith against the wolves that are always coming up against the true gospel of Jesus Christ. They “promise people liberty but truly bring them into bondage.” I know personally, because I’ve been there. I know God hasn’t opened my eyes just so I can watch others go down the same path that almost destroyed me and my children.
According to God’s Word, its clear that my concern for others spiritual welfare and the free reign of the gospel is not considered “neglect” but rather the utmost love and diligence in “studying (and researching) to show myself approved to God” (2 Tim. 2:15) not to mankind.
True believers, please, don’t fall for their accusations, be assured it is not paranoid “suspicion” to heed the Bibles warning to beware of false teachers, prophets, etc.
Just a reminder that if we continually sit under false teachers or keep silent long enough we become desensitized, deprogrammed and deceived to the point of becoming spiritually paralized. We are to fear God, not man. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Prov. 9:10
I will continue to pray that visitors here will act upon all that the Holy Spirit may be trying to show them.
Be encouraged, if you are scared, you are not alone. True courage is acting, even while fearful. But remember that if one rebels against what God reveals to them, thru His Word, at least you can face God and say you tried to warn them by “rightly dividing the Word of truth.
Believers are not on a “mission of seperation” as some say— Jesus does the dividing Himself (Luke 12:51). Who is on the Lords side?

  1. God bless you for continuing to stand and defend sister. I know it’s been a long hard journey for you and very hurtful at times. God is always so faithful. Looking forward to reading more of what you have to share. Blessings to you and praying God’s grace for you and strength for the continued journey!

    1. Thanks Pat,
Especially for all the prayers and encouragement. We just can’t give up on the people we love, so it makes it hard to shake the dust off, but there comes a point, God grants the release. Wonder whats next!! God’s always full of surprises isn’t He?!
