“This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith” (Titus 1:13).

Jesus did not come to judge the world during His incarnation, but He DID come to proclaim that there would come a time when He will judge the world (2 Tim. 4:1).
This is why it is every Christian’s binding duty to love God and others enough to let them know that His judgment has already been determined, and that during this dispensation of grace He still offers escape from the penalty and judgment that sin is due (Jn. 3:18).
Scripture is clear, that to truly love God and our own soul we must hate sin. Those who love sin are actually hating God and their own souls (Prov. 15:32, 19:8). So, to truly love God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength, and to truly “love others as ourselves,” we MUST warn them about sin.
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful” (Prov. 27:5-6).
